Mining town of Reras is the only city in Norway, located high in the mountains. For 250 years Raros was the most important mining centre of Norway.
In the city about a hundred wooden houses, and it is included in the world heritage list and is under UNESCO protection. This mining town, much of which relates to the XVIII-XIX centuries, and today retains many of its distinctive features. The only stone building in town – the Church, built in 1784.
In the copper building workshop is now a Historical Museum.
