Behind the village Cuanavale, which is located in the Karelian Republic Pryazha district in the sacred grove of spruce, is the chapel of St. Nicholas and the Prophet Elijah. The approximate age of the Church dates from the second half of the 18th century. The chapel is securely hidden with numerous trees, and it can be seen only from the southern side of the lake. At the moment the chapel bears the function of a monument of national importance.

The chapel has a relatively large size and is made in the form of a parallelepiped. The roof is a steep gable, surmounted by a cupola. From the Western part of the roof rises at the base of the octagonal multi-deviationa the bell tower, which is completely covered vosmiletnej roof. The end of the tent is made in the form of a cupola with a cross located on the axial post of the bell tower, at a distance of one meter above the top of the roof of the marquee. In addition, on the West side of the chapel adjoins the porch with rectangular top platform, to the center which leads straight staircase with a lower underground sites. The cover of the porch is a gable roof supported by pillars. The division of internal space made transverse cuts on the Eastern half, which consists of two prayer rooms separated by a longitudinal notch, and the Western half is designated for the refectory room. In 1998, the chapel had to be restored, which was held in the Karelian craftsmen with the participation of experienced specialists from Norway.
