The small Church of Angeloktisti, which is located only ten kilometers from Larnaca to the village of kitty, known to the world. The Church is really a unique construction, as it actually consists of three separate buildings that were built in different eras. First, in the V century Christian sanctuary, but it was destroyed during one of the Arab raids.

All that is left for the built – apse with a unique beginning of VII century mosaics depicting the virgin Mary holding the baby Jesus. On the left is the Archangel Michael, on the right – Gabriel, each of which holds a sphere and a rod. Unfortunately, the figure of Mikhail seriously damaged – it remains only a head, some apparel and hand. Images made in the traditional manner iconography of the early Byzantine period. Besides this mosaic has given its name to the Church of Panagia Angeloktisti, which means "the Benevolent lady of the angels".

Later on the site of the destroyed building in the XI century was built by the Byzantine Church. And in the XII century was built near a small chapel dedicated to saints Cosmas and Damian. In the XIV century there was another chapel – Roman Catholic. Today it is the entrance to Angeloktisti. In them there are some interesting mosaics.

The Church is still in effect, although there generally come to pray locals. Despite international fame, among tourists, it is not very popular, so there are no large crowds and no one will stop to enjoy the beauty of this place.
