Near the Lusatian Neisse river in the vicinity of Liberec you can see the rock on which stands the strict castle, erected in the Renaissance style, resembling more powerful citadel than the Palace complex.
It is very convenient for tourists place: on the border of three States, so his visit can be enabled, while on holiday in the Czech Republic, Germany or Poland. With the walls of the castle offers a magnificent view of the land in these three countries. This is a unique opportunity to take a picture with a height of just three States.
Judging by the records that historians have found in local archives, the castle already in the XIII century, was decorated with a mountain near Liberec. Its first owner was a nobleman from Saxony kind of don. When it was built not only the main residential and commercial buildings, but also a high tower was used for observation of surroundings. The tower at the time of its existence has undergone significant changes, so now it's a little lower than originally intended.
Among the caring owners of the castle it should be noted Georg Mahela of Strelka, who built a room for servants, and Christian clam-Gallas, crashed around the beautiful castle garden.
The family clam-Galazov owned the castle of Grabstein until 1945, when the Czech government confiscated any substantial property. Now the castle is renovated and open for visitors. Of particular interest is the visit to St. Barbara chapel, decorated with frescoes in the style of the Renaissance, and the cellars of the fortress, where it begins a secret passage, and shows the tools of artisans.
