Church of St. Catherine, located in the Crimean resort town of Feodosia, one of the most beautiful sights. The second name of the Church - St. Catherine's Church.

The Foundation of the Church was carried out on 21 April 1892 - birthday of Russian Empress Catherine II. The construction was carried out with funds donated by residents of the city for the construction of the temple, and also to commemorate the accession of Crimea to Russia.

The Church of Saint Catherine is a vivid example of Russian religious architecture, it is built in the architectural tradition of the XVII century the Foundation of the Church is an equilateral cross. The entrance to the temple is on the West side and is framed by a portico with an elegant bell tower, decorated with a low columns. The Church of St. Catherine overshadow five domes filled with stars. The top of the Church patterned corbel arches of different sizes, shaped to the form of domes. Light comes into the Church through the high rectangular Windows in the walls, and through the Lancet with the carved pattern of the Windows located on the Central gold dome. The Church of St. Catherine has a festive, solemn, exterior and rich decoration inside.

Since 1901 the rector of the Church was Andrew Kosovo. In 1920 he was arrested. It happened in day of memory of St. Catherine. After a long hold in confinement, the father of Andrew was shot. In 2000, the Synod Commission decided to classify father Andrew Kosovo canonized.

In 1937 the Church, like many other Russian churches, was closed and turned into a warehouse. After four years, re-opened the occupying German authorities. Since that time belongs to the number of operating temples in the Crimea.

In 1999, the St. Catherine's Church was built a temple in the name of Holy. John the Baptist, which housed a baptismal room and Sunday school. In 2002, was built the whole complex, which included the Sunday school room, methodical study, libraries and hotels.
