Parish Church of Linz is one of the oldest Catholic churches in Upper Austria. Was built in the 13th century in the style of a three-nave Romanesque Basilica. However, in the 17th century was rebuilt in the Baroque style. The opening took place in 1656.

The interior of the Church is very rich, lots of details in Baroque style. The main altar was created in 1771 Matthias Ludwig and Johann Caspar Modler Cinerom. The side altars of the Church are decorated by Bartolomeo Altomonte and Jehoiakim Santarem. One of the last works is the ceiling fresco "Triumph of religion". The altar of Floriani painted in 1860, shows a historical view of Linz, 1694. The picture parish Church is easily recognizable by his former dome in the Baroque style. The Church is the urn in which the ashes of the Emperor Frederick III, who died in 1493 at his residence in Linz.

The bell tower, with a height of 82 meters, preserved from the Baroque era, is still the third-highest tower in Upper Austria.

Near the Church there is a memorial stone in memory of the composer Anton Bruckner, who worked in the Church as organist from 1855 to 1868. Opposite the parish Church in Linz is a former Jesuit College (1659), which is now occupied by the city post office.

The city parish Church of Linz is not only a tourist attraction, but also a valuable architectural monument.
