Karst spring Chapter-Panega is located near the village of Zlatna-Panega, in the municipality of Jablanica. The water temperature in the source is 8, 4 – 15, 4 degrees Celsius. The river Zlatna-Panega originates in this source. Water collects in a reservoir separated into two parts (Eastern and Western, smaller), between which passes the highway to the village Brestnitsa.

At the Western part there are two caves: Gorna and Dolna dupki. Scientists believe that in the past the water was coming from one of those caves. But due to karst processes source was shifted to its present location.

As a result of hydrogeological studies, it was concluded that most likely the source water of the river Vit. The supply water is below the level of the lake, for many years it could not reveal. Near Zlata-Panega are several sources of warm water, the temperature of which is about 20º C. the Water in the lakes is painted in the blue-green color due to dissolved calcium carbonate.

Eighth August 1966 source declared a nature monument.

In the early 20th century in the vicinity of the source of archaeological excavations, through which it was proved that near the source was the Roman temple. In the field at the Head-Panega found a ritual tile, which depicts the God of medicine, Asclepius and his daughter Gigia and son Much.

In ancient times it was believed that the spring water has healing properties, and in the lake God lives, helping patients who drink the water or bathe in it. People from different places came to the source for the cure. Until now there has been a tradition to throw a coin Asclepius.
