The transport Museum in Luzern Switzerland is a Museum of transport and communication with a very large collection of locomotives, cars, ships and aircraft, as well as exhibits from the field of communication.

In 1942 was based Transport Union, Switzerland, located in Zurich. However, there was not a suitable site for the construction of the Museum building, and it was decided to establish a Museum in Lucerne. In 1957, construction began. The construction was supported by the finances of the Union and the city and Canton of Lucerne. July 1, 1959, the Museum of Transport Switzerland, opened and quickly became popular.

The Museum exposition is divided into several thematic sections: passenger and cargo transport, aviation and Astronautics, cable and cable car. Here you can see the stages of construction of the famous Gotthard tunnel. There are simulators and flight simulators on different planes. A separate pavilion is a huge panorama layout of Switzerland, along which you can walk with your own feet, pre-abuses in special Slippers. An extensive collection of railway transport even includes Swiss rail vehicles, produced in 1875, and historical documentary films on relevant topics. In the collection of urban transport includes cars, carts and horses, bicycles, motorcycles.

Original entertainment for visitors of the Museum is the so-called "autotheatre". The opportunity for everyone to participate in some sort of show with a large selection of cars from different historical eras. Any selected vehicle transported on a special platform in front of the participant using the freight Elevator, and exhibit show in all its glory.

Along with five themed exhibitions, the Museum has other attractions such as a planetarium, a cinema, exhibition Hans Ernie and aerial photography.
