Included with Museum Victoria Melbourne Museum is located in Carlton Park gardens, close to the Royal Exhibition Centre. It is the largest in the southern hemisphere, the Museum, consisting of 7 main galleries, a Children's Gallery (for children 3 to 8 years) and exhibition halls for temporary exhibitions. One of the permanent exhibitions of the Museum – "Science and Life", in which you can see the skeleton of diprotodon, giant ancient ancestor of the wombat, and some dinosaurs. In 2010, opened the exhibition "600 million years of the history of Victoria", which also exhibited skeletons of prehistoric creatures.

In Melbourne the Gallery you can discover the history of Melbourne, starting from the second quarter of the 19th century until the present day, and learn the story of the legendary horse Phar paw.

And in the evolution of the gallery is the exhibition "From Darwin to DNA". In the Museum you can also experience the wildlife of Victoria – amazing wildlife, forest ecosystems and marine fauna. In the Cultural Centre aboriginal tribe of bunjilaka presents the history of the indigenous peoples of Victoria.
