A monument to the architect of all time appeared in Minsk on independence Day in 2007. The opening of the monument dedicated to the 940-th anniversary of the capital of the Republic of Belarus.

In 2007 Minsk construction company "Elvira". This company carried out repairs and reconstruction of many important historical buildings and landmarks of Minsk. In 2007, "Elvira" renovated building of the Committee of architecture and urban planning of Minsk city Executive Committee. The idea to set in front of the Committee of architecture of the monument to the architect of all time filed a General Director of construction company Valery Potkin.

The implementation of the plan was entrusted to the most beloved and recognizable Minsk sculptor Vladimir Ivanovo. Its wonderful sculptures were installed in all the major parks of Minsk and other Belarusian cities. People with a sensitive soul, a great sculptor, he quickened his romantic heroes cityscapes, making the city a little more warm and human. Unfortunately, in January 2012 Vladimir Zhbanov did not.

Monument "Architect" depicts a symbolic act of creation of the collective image of architects of all times. Devoted bearded architect stretched forth his hand over the buildings of different eras, which are the trademarks of Minsk: an ancient wooden gate of the castle of the XII century, the Church of the Bernardines of the seventeenth century and the building of the National academic Bolshoi Opera and ballet theatre. Under the mouse in the architect some papers, obviously, that's a blueprint of the future buildings.

Despite his youth, a monument to the architect of all time has become a recognizable landmark of Minsk, beloved Minsk residents and guests of the capital of Belarus.
