Ethnographic complex "Belarusian village of the XIX century" is not far from Mogilev opposite the memorial complex "Bolnichnoy field. The complex was built in 2006 Belarusian ethnic grounds. The aim of the memorial is to acquaint the tourists with the architecture, traditions, customs and folk arts of Belarusians.
Ethnographic complex cannot be called a Museum under the open sky – there are no ancient artifacts. Rather, it is a tourist cultural and entertainment complex. However, all national Handicrafts have been recreated here carefully. Here everyone will demonstrate how in the old days was made baskets, furniture, pots, dishes. There are real blacksmiths, weavers, embroiderers, potters, carpenters and other craftsmen.
Of course, all that is produced in the Masters heritage village you can touch, smell, try, buy or even make yourself. There are a number of workshops where visitors under the guidance of experienced craftsmen can try yourself in a particular craft.
There is also a traditional stately home, which is a hotel and tavern. You can visit the windmill, at the tavern, in the hospitable peasant's house. You can try dishes and drinks of the Belarusian national cuisine, folk music, participate in folk games and festivals.
On the territory of the ethnographic complex "Belarusian village" regularly hosts ethnic festivals, folk festivals, fairs and other interesting events, thanks to which the original Belarusian culture becomes clearer and closer to everyone who comes here to visit.
