On the přemysl Otakar II, you can see the multi-storey narrow house, sandwiched by other mansions. It is now called the House of arts. It was built in 1761 in style, combining Gothic and Renaissance features, by order of the municipal government. It always had a government institution.
At the moment he is devoted to exhibition halls and is the headquarters of the famous Gallery of modern art. It first opened its doors to lovers of the beautiful in 1997. Its founders are considered to be representatives of the local Municipal house of culture. For maintaining the young talents working in the field of art and architecture, it was decided on an area of 150 sq m to create a demonstration area.
Every year there are held 10 exhibitions of emerging artists and architects, who can tell the town of české budějovice and the world about their achievements. Participation in these performances is a great start for my future career. The organizers of the exhibitions draw attention to the work of not only Czech but also foreign artists. Mainly, most often demonstrates an abstract, conceptual paintings, but there are works in the style of realism. Also halls of the Gallery of modern art are open to photographers. There have been numerous photo exhibitions, which had great resonance among the local intellectuals.
If you are tired of exploring the city, visiting this gallery is a great opportunity to relax and see the paintings of those artists who will become world famous in a few years.
