The national Park Souss-Massa – this is one of the natural and cultural attractions of the region Souss-Massa-Draa, located in Central Morocco.
The national Park was founded in 1991, It is located between the cities of Agadir and Thinset in the lagoons, formed by two rivers - the Souss and Massa at the confluence of the waters of the Atlantic ocean. Thanks to these rivers, the Park got its present name. The total area of the national Park is more than 300 sq. km.
Diverse natural landscape of the area, where there are mountains, Sands and farmland, provides an excellent opportunity for different habitats to fauna. The main value of the national Park is that its territory is inhabited by the last population of bald ibises, which, unfortunately, no longer on the earth. In addition, it is home to such rare birds as blackheads Cagri, Redstart, bustards, all kinds of larks, and other birds, many of which come here from other lands for the winter. Just in the national Park of Souss-Massa, there are over 200 species of birds.
In addition, the Park is home to rare animals, such as antelopes, Eurasian wild boars, gazelles, Egyptian mongoose, ostrich and various species of butterflies and reptiles. For the ostriches in the Park were created by special reservation.

Park Souss-Massa – is not only a place for cultural pastime of vacationers and tourists. It performs several important tasks: saves and restores some species of animals and plants, and is a wonderful place for eco-tourism.
