The sandy beach of Ftelia is the largest "wild" beach of Mykonos. It is located on the Northern coast of the island in the Bay of Panormos is about 5 km from the homonymous capital of the island.
Surprisingly, despite its proximity to the capital, Ftelia is quite a secluded beach and perfect for those wishing to relax away from the bustle and excessive congestion. Ftelia beach is also considered one of the best places on the island for Windsurfing.
The beach has a couple of good tavernas where you can have a great lunch, and the surrounding area has relatively good range of accommodation small hotels, villas, apartments, etc.
Lovers of archaeology will be able to see, located practically on the beach the ruins of a Neolithic settlement Dating to the middle of the 5th Millennium BC
