The Nikolaev regional Philharmonic society was founded in 1937, Its activity Philharmonic beginning in 1938 in the room, which is located at the intersection of St. Nicholas and the Soviet. In the composition of the Nikolaev worked Philharmonic wind orchestra, Symphony orchestra, theatre of miniatures, ballet ensemble and choir.

During a tour on its stage hosted the concerts of the ensemble "Druzhba", the artistic Director is honored artist of the RSFSR and composer A. Bronevitsky, Oleg Lundstrem orchestra, Laureate of International competitions Yuri Dranga (accordion), soloist of Moscow concert, the Moscow chamber jazz ensemble "cadence", honored artist of the RSFSR Friedrich lips, honored artist of Ukraine Alexander Gonobolin (violin), people's artist of the Estonian Mati palm (vocals), Kazakh state Symphony orchestra, the Azerbaijan chamber orchestra, the Moscow Jewish theater "Shalom" and many others.

Within the walls of the Philharmonic of the city of Nikolaev her artistic career began with such pop stars as Alexander Serov and Larisa Dolina, as well as famous composers Kim Breitburg, Igor Krutoy and others.

In 1984 the old premises of the Philharmonic was completely destroyed and a new one was never built until now. Today's modern line-up of artists Philharmonic, with its concert hall, forced to work in a variety of concert venues in the city and region. Due to the lack of professional premises, the administration of the regional Philharmonic society, unfortunately, has no opportunity to invite artists, performers, who were able to brighten the lives of residents.
