The Ob sea in the Novosibirsk region - an artificial lake, located on the Ob river, near the city of Novosibirsk. The river begins in the Altai at the confluence of two rivers Katun and Biya. From South to North of the Ob river crosses the territory of Western Siberia, flowing into the Kara sea of the Arctic ocean. In the South of Novosibirsk Ob river dammed, which actually forms a reservoir – "Ob sea".

The length of the sea from the town of Kamen-na-Obi to Novosibirsk is about 220 km. the Total area water area reaches 1082 sq km, the maximum width is 22 km and the maximum depth is 25 m.
