Museum of the history of railway equipment located in the Soviet area, near railway station Sower process is organized in Berdsk the road that leads from downtown to the campus. Construction of the Museum began in may 2000, Were made dead ends, embankment, and rails laid. The opening of the Museum of the history of railway equipment was held in August 2000 to the day of the railwayman.
The uniqueness of the Museum is that in the West-Siberian railway has a collection of unique technical tools, locomotives, passenger and freight cars and track equipment. In the future, the Museum plans to open an exhibition devoted to the instruments and means of signaling, electrification, communications, and other equipment.
The initiator of the founding of the institution made hereditary railroader Nikolay A. Akulinin. His idea was supported by the leadership of the road. N. Akulinin for nine years directed the Museum, later named in his honor.
The length of the Museum exhibition under the open sky – about three kilometers. In General, in exhibition halls of the Museum presents more than 100 different exhibits. In the Museum you can see 7 different locomotives. The oldest exhibit is the model of the locomotive "Agile" of the NINETEENTH century a Special interest also is the engine of 1912 edition. The locomotive was built by the project, developed by Russian designer Lopushinsky. In Russia such locomotives was produced until 1923 furthermore, in the Museum you can see other domestic locomotives, locomotives manufacturing Hungary and the USA, 15 locomotives, released in the USSR (1964 -1971), and 12 of the locomotives that were released at different times.
In addition to railway equipment Museum opened exhibition of automotive equipment. The collection has the Soviet cars Moskvich, GAZ, ZAZ, several tractors, trucks, ATVs and even American "Dodge".
