The Holy Trinity Church in Akademgorodok is one of the iconic sights of the city of Novosibirsk. The Church together with the Parish of the Nativity of the blessed virgin Mary is an integral part of the temple complex, which is located on the place where previously you could only see a swampy forest on the outskirts of the forest. Today, on the shores of picturesque lake among the pines in a Church fence built two temples surrounded by forest alive.

In December 1993, the future rector of the parish - priest Sergei Fedoseev, received from Archbishop Tikhon blessing for the construction of the temple. In January 1995, began construction of a wooden Church. The Cathedral was designed by architect S. N. Kulba. In just eleven months of the Church, with a capacity of about 150 people, was built. January 6, 1996, the consecration of the throne, and January 7, at the Church of the Nativity of the blessed virgin Mary first service was held.

In 1995, the parish opened a Sunday school for children, and in August 1999 there was the first class from the Orthodox school of Saints Cyril and Methodius.

Bookmark stone temple took place in 1996, just in time for the feast of the assumption of the blessed virgin. The author of this project was the architect V. A. Ivanov. The capacity of the temple is about 600 people. In December 2001, the day of Saint Nicholas, Archbishop Tikhon was by the lesser blessing of the Church dedicated to the Holy Trinity, then took and first service.
