Old castle Velke Losiny, located in the eponymous Czech town, steeped in dark legends, which is not at all groundless. This castle is considered cursed and is called the "fortress of the witch", because, according to historical evidence, there were scandalous trials of witches, which led to the deaths of more than 50 people.

Gothic castle on the river Lozinke was founded in the XIV century. He belonged to various noble families, was always in the pledge that did not lead to its expansion and improvement. The most famous owners of the castle were members of the genus Serotinal that in the late fifteenth century received this fortress in the full and unconditional ownership. They were in charge of the castle for three centuries. Jan Žerotín examining inherited his property, ordered the complete reconstruction of the fortress. To 1589 in velké Lošinj came a magnificent Renaissance Palace, worthy of effete aristocrats. In 1693, at the expense of the city wall, the Palace was expanded.

Just before visiting family Geromino was a terrible guest – Inquisitor G.-F. Babli von Edelstadt. He came for a reason, and at the invitation of the owners, which has received the alarm signal from the local priest. He accidentally during the service noticed that one of the parishioners had not eaten the host, and hid it. She was accused of witchcraft, the Inquisitor sentenced her to be burned at the stake. He suggested that other parishioners may also be witches. Unfortunate women were tortured, and they called the names of her companions. It was destroyed about 50 innocent townspeople.

Delicate three-tiered castle with arcades now turned into a Museum. It is possible to explore the valuable library, the Armory, an art gallery and private chambers of Geromino.
