Classic Czech fairy tales and contemporary plays, staged with the help expertly made dolls can be seen in Olomouc puppet theatre "Kasparkova rise", whose name translates from Czech as "Petrushkin the Kingdom." Local puppet theatre is one of the oldest institutions of this kind in the Czech Republic. Its tradition goes back to the 20-ies of the last century, when manually sewn, rag dolls were the only fun local kids. Looking at playing in the yard with the kids, talented playwright Frantisek Cech decided to found the theatre, whose characters were puppets. He independently invented and sewed a lot of characters that are used in views for more than 80 years. Their history has not lost its relevance today. F. Cech wrote over 150 plays, fairy tales, cautionary tales, which became the basis of the repertoire of the new theatre.

The theatrical season in "Kasparkova Rise" begins October 1 and continues until April 1. During that period he wrote all the premieres, tickets for which sold out long before the appointed date.
