Locality Poruba appeared much earlier in time, when we first find mention of it in Czech written sources. In 1377 it was a rich village, which was located on the state border and were owned by the nobles of Tribovich. The settlement permanently changed their owners, who paid due attention to various historical buildings still adorn the streets. These include the local castle, built in 1573 as a residence of the wealthy nobles, and the Church of St. Nicholas – not very big and majestic, but, nevertheless, served as a parish Church for believers from several neighbouring villages. Also here you can visit the historic water mill, which is perfectly preserved from the past centuries, and the plant I. Blajel, which made beautiful furniture.
Walking the streets Poruba, don't miss the unusual natural monument, which is a powerful boulder, which has been preserved since the ice age. The locals call it "the Prodigal fool". Now it is considered part of the memorial dedicated to those who died in the years 1940-1945.
