Sayan art gallery is one of the cultural attractions of the city. Founded in 1983, the art gallery has become one of the most visited places not only local residents, but also visitors to the city.

During the short period Sayan gallery managed to get a fairly solid collection. The collection of graphics, there are more than 1738 storage units, painting - 574 units, sculpture - approximately 85 units and objects of decorative art – 49 units. In the collection of the gallery on paintings and drawings of the best contemporary artists of Russia and CIS countries, whose work was in the period 1928-1999.

Sayan art gallery consists of several parts devoted to music, theater, performances and photography. The collection presents paintings of Siberian artists: G. Novikov, A. Gutterson, A. Pozdeeva, I. Bocancea, L. Genova, V. Smagina, V. Rogal, J. mitkina, V. Kuzmin, B. Reutova, G. Kuzmina. A significant portion of the collection are works by local artists: Alexei Znamensky, V. Kuznetsov, S. Chistov, I. Pliskova, I. Burgasov, Kolobov, V. Egorova, G. Govorin, N. Novikova, G. Zaitsev, and L. A. Tishchenko. As for the graphics, it is represented by such names as: Bashlykov; V., A. Shipitsin, S. Karasuk, V. Vereshchagin, V. Moshkin, A. Samarin, E. Monokhonov, N. Basharin. In the Sayan art gallery is 29 works by the artist E. Belluci (teacher).

On the basis of the gallery opened club photographic society "Poliart". Every year the Museum organizes about 30 interesting exhibits. In 2011, the gallery for the first time participated in the all-Russian action "Night of museums".
