On the street that connects the Green gate and the main square of Pardubice, you may find a strange building which resembles a Palace. This passage Ladislav Mahon, built in 1924-1925. Through this mansion, you can go outside Tridu the World.

The place on which was built this mansion were never empty. In the early sixteenth century there stood a house of worship belonging to the Czech brethren. In 1548, by order of the king, the lands of this order (and the house near the Green gate) became the property of the Czech crown. Originally intended to run the hospital, however, these noble intentions have remained just plans. Soon, it became a private house again.

For centuries, this mansion has changed many owners. Initially it was owned by the family of a local blacksmith. When the Swedes surrounded Pardubice, the house had to singe. The site was purchased by Jan Hrdlicka, who rebuilt the mansion again and established a cozy patio. In 1835 the house was again damaged by fire.

The long-suffering house was sold many times until early in the twentieth century it was bought by two wealthy people: Antonin Kratochvil and frantiĊĦek Fun. They were just looking for a place to build ultra-modern apartment building. However, one of them came up with the idea that more income will bring "great entrance of the Palace, which will open shops. And the idea of the construction of the passage. For this he was invited by the architect Ladislav Mahon.

The five-storey facade of the building is decorated with sculptures K. Dvorak, depicting people of different professions. Vintage lamps in the 60-ies of the last century, replaced by more modern models. For a long time it was believed that the original bulbs were lost, but it turned out that they were stored in the cellars of the passage.

Recently arcade building was renovated. Now in its premises offices and private apartments.
