Municipal Museum of Porvoo, located in the Old town hall, built in 1762-gg., presents the history of the region, works of applied art and artistic works.

Old city hall is one of the most important buildings in the Old town of Porvoo. This two-storey building with attic, wooden clock tower, located at the top.

Up to 1880. the building was used by the city authorities for administrative purposes. In 1896. Museum Association saved it from destruction, creating in the town hall Museum.

In 2011. there was opened an exhibition dedicated to the middle ages and ancient history.
