The Church of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky is situated high on a beautiful location. The temple is amazingly beautiful, because its walls are literally blinding white color, which is why it is perfectly visible even from a distance. The erection of the Church of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky was started in 1913, which coincided with a tribute to the date of the 100th anniversary of the great victory in the Patriotic war of 1812. Construction work was directly connected with the name Kozhevnikov Alexander Petrovich – the native of the most ordinary peasant family in the village Fominsky related to Ivanovo municipality Rybinsk district.

At the end of 1918 the temple was finally completed, however, with the outbreak of the First World war domestic work has been suspended for quite a long time. On November 7, 1918 meeting of parishioners of the new Church, it was decided to continue construction work on their own on the collected funds. In 1919, the temple is fully opened, the pre-sanctified. At this time, when the community consisted of about 515 members – residents of the 19 number of villages.

It is clear that the constant persecution of believers played a role. At the end of the 1930-ies the Church was closed. During the persecution conducted by Khrushchev, again the Church was closed. For a very long time the building wasn't protected, so gradually began to deteriorate and razvorovivalsya. Eventually started to peel off the plaster, and it has begun to emerge brick red. The temple was badly damaged during the period of inactivity and much deserted. The Church property was completely looted. The Church was planned to accommodate large growers, but the proposed plan was not implemented.

In the 80-ies of the 20th century, the local kids set fire to the Church. During the fire were burned all existing wood floors in the belfry of the Church, the spire of which is completely collapsed. The fire occurred in the summer of 1986. After the fire the Church was on the verge of utter destruction: porch and door openings were broken, the frames and the flooring was not simple, and the existing furnace in the building was dismantled brick by brick. The building is quite often held bonfires.

To the beginning of the planned restoration works to the roof, located above the center of the building, almost completely rotted and half-collapsed; above the temple porch were earthen layer with a width of 0. 5 m; on the roof grew trees whose age was 20 years.

In late 1996, a decision was taken for immediate restoration of the Church of Alexander Nevsky; responsible for the post he was appointed Archpriest Vasily Denisov. In 1997, parish was established, after which he received a full building. Here began the rehabilitation and repair works.
