On the South East coast of Santorini is a small resort town of Kamari. It is just 8-10 km from the island's capital of Fira. Kamari how you can see it today was rebuilt after the 1956 earthquake that almost completely destroyed the city. The official name Kamari - "Crete Hania" - this resort has received here in honor of the old Church of Panagia Episkopi. The construction of the ancient temple dates back to 1100. Today the archaeological site of the ancient city are open to the public.
