Their mark in the architecture of the Saratov left German colonists since 1760-ies, arranging their colonies on the left and the right Bank of the Volga. The decree of Catherine the great from 1762 immigrants, who settled the colonies, were exempt from taxes for thirty years and enjoyed an interest-free loan for a period of ten years. Settling in Saratov, German Diaspora until the revolution was strong and numerous, this confirms the Central street of the city – German (now Kirov Avenue). It was a condition of active economic and trade relations of the Saratov province with Germany. To streamline this activity and accelerate the registration of the necessary documentation for closing numerous transactions with German entrepreneurs, it was decided to establish in Saratov German Consulate, which decided to build a separate building.

The building, typical for German resettlement of culture, appeared in 1908-1910. on Noble street (now St working). The project was executed, according to some, architect M. G. Zatsepin. The Consulate building is designed in modern style with elements of the Western Gothic, devoid of any decoration and chic. Neat face brick, tile roof, small towers, streloobraznymi fence posts and a small vane-Cockerel (symbolic for such buildings).

Since 1933, it housed the office of the Central Council, in 1951 it was replaced by DOSAAF and the city flying club, where from 1954 to 1955. he studied Yuri Gagarin, as well as 26 heroes of the Soviet Union. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was trying to organize the city German club, but due to lack of funds were forced to abandon the original premises. In 1993, the building entered the Saratov branch of oil and gas firms, which have made capital repairs and continues to reside in the building until now.
