Museum complex "Horse yard", located on the street of the First Shock Army, is one of the buildings of the Sergiev Posad Museum-reserve. The building it appeared in 1790, instead of the numerous monastic wooden stables. By that time the number of horses in the conduct of laurels decreased from 700 to 40, as Catherine II issued a decree translated part of the monastic lands to the Treasury and reduced the cost of the remaining content. Several layers of birch bark to protect the walls of the Museum from erosion by groundwater.
