As in many Spanish cities, Seville has many beautiful old churches. One of these ancient churches is the Catholic Church of San Esteban, representing and artistic, and historical and cultural value. The Church was built in the early 15th century on the ruins of an ancient mosque located here previously. During the Lisbon earthquake in 1755, the Church of San Esteban was severely damaged, after which it was restored with significant changes. In particular, the Church building was built a bell tower. Crowned with a delicate spire of the bell tower gives the whole construction of magnificence and simply adds to the facade of the building is picturesque. Originally the tower was created under the leadership of Juan Gomez, it was subsequently restored by the project of Pedro de Silva.

The Church building is designed in the Gothic style with elements inherent in the Mudejar style. The Church's exterior is decorated with two beautiful ogival portal made of stone. The Church has three naves, the Central one wider and higher side.

Mounted inside the Church the main altar was created by artist Luis de Figueroa in 1629. One of the pieces of the altar was made of Moorish tiles of the late 14th century. The altar is decorated with seven magnificent paintings, painted by the brilliant Francisco de Zurbaran, which depict biblical scenes.

In the left part of the building was built the chapel of the Tabernacle, which is located inside a magnificent Baroque altar dedicated to the immaculate Conception, created by Agustin Perea.
