Kanapitsa is an excellent sandy beach on the South coast of the Greek island of Skiathos. The beach is just 4 km from Skiathos town on a small picturesque Peninsula of Kalamaki. Once Kanapitsa was one of the most visited beaches on the island, but with the development of other resorts in Skiathos his popularity declined sharply, which certainly is an advantage, because there is almost never over-crowded.

The beach is well organized and ideal for families. In the excellent taverna right on the beach can be a good meal, enjoying excellent local dishes and amazing panoramic views.

It offers fans of active holidays – waterskiing, Windsurfing, snorkeling and much more. The lovers of long walks will appreciate the beautiful landscapes surrounding Kanapitsa. You can also rent a boat and take a fascinating journey along the scenic coast of Skiathos.

Near the beach of Kanapitsa (about 10 minutes walking distance) is another equally nice beach – Tzaneria.
