The Lednice Chateau, which is part of the Lednice-Balticovo complex, listed in the cultural heritage List of UNESCO, is located 7 km from the castle of Valtice. These two palaces that belonged to the Lichtenstein family, binds a wide tree-lined Avenue. Although the village of Lednice, which received its name from flowing in the land of the cold river Die, became a possession of the Lichtenstein much earlier than the next Valdice, local castle, founded in the XIII century and is constantly growing, has become merely a place for a summer vacation representatives of this family, whereas Valtice acted as their favorite residence.

A visit to Lednice castle, surrounded by parks and gardens will appeal to the most demanding tourists largely due to its unique location. This castle stands on the border of three countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria.

In the distant 1222 in Lednice castle was built, which in those days was called Eisgrub. Its current name – the name of the village where it is located, the Palace received only in the XV century. Its modern look was given to the estate in the eighteenth century, when its reconstruction was invited by the Vienna architect Georg Winkelmolen. His imagination and talent to thank for graceful turrets and numerous arches that adorn the Palace of Lednice. Under his leadership, was created by a large English Park, where at every turn of the path meets a gazebo, a monument or even a minaret with a height of 60 meters. Successfully entered into the composition of the garden castle ruins janów Hail, which have been specially created near the Lednice Palace.

The Lednice is open to the public. The examination is offered the interiors of the XVIII-XIX centuries and wine cellars.
