The house of Ben-Gurion airport is a small but very important for Israel, the house-Museum. Here lived and worked one of the greatest politicians of the twentieth century, the founding father and first Prime Minister of the Jewish state.

David Ben Gurion was born in 1886 in Poland, which was then part of the Russian Empire. A student was a socialist, after the defeat of the 1905 revolution, he emigrated to Palestine. Worked on harvesting oranges, studied law. During the First world tried to create a Jewish militia in help of the Ottoman Empire, and later, when Britain expressed support for plans to establish a Jewish state in Palestine, he joined the British army.

Young politician quickly became the star of the national movement. In 1935 he was elected head of the Executive Committee of the Jewish Agency in international organizations, directing the flows of immigrants to Palestine. Ben-Gurion encouraged immigrants to settle in the Negev desert: there they are, without affecting the interests of the Arab population, shows how hard work turns the desert into a blooming garden. But the principal dwelling of David and Floors Ben-Gurion became the family home, built in installments over 350 Palestinian pounds in tel Aviv.
