On the cliff above the Bay of the city at a height of 113 meters above sea level stands the Gothic castle. It was built in XIII-XIV centuries as the summer residence of king Jaime II.

Three of the towers built into the wall, and the fourth stands alone and connects to the wall by a covered walkway. Around the perimeter of the Central courtyard of the castle is the gallery with graceful arches.
