Mountain Alkon, also known as Halcon, is the highest peak of the island of Mindoro, and the third highest in the Philippines. The height of the mountain – 2,586 meters above sea level. Many fans of mountain climbing consider Alcona one of the most difficult to conquer the peaks, since it is famous for its narrow and sharp as a knife ridges. The best time to conquer the Alcona – April, August and September. Usually start climbing from the town of Bako. The road to the top is quite steep, and along the way made several stops.
