A future that can be touched by hand – these words are fully applicable to Miraikan - National Museum of science and innovation, opened the Japan Agency for science and technology in 2001.
What happens to science and technology tomorrow or even the day after tomorrow in this cultural institution, which is situated in the Tokyo area, Odaiba. Here the most advanced achievements of Japanese scientists and engineers in the field of space exploration, robotics, chemistry, medicine and other branches of science. Open even the secrets of how were made to these or other developments, and explains what all these things are necessary for humanity in the near future. In addition, the Museum often hosts seminars and lectures conducted by scientists and inventors from around the world, including Nobel laureates.
The interesting thing is that all the exhibits are Miraikan – interactive, you can touch and try in action. Children entering the Museum building, as if the fall into the world of fantastic books. Take, for example, to see the main attraction – Android Asimо that height and weight once the baby is 130 cm and 54 kg. He is able to climb stairs, kick a ball, to detect moving objects and to track the trajectory of their movement and even talk with people, not with one person, and once with three. Asimo responds to his name and responds to the alarming sounds.
In this Museum are allowed to fly on a space ship or sink to the seabed in a submarine, and shall outlast this storm. You can even raise a person from the parts-body parts in full size.
In one of the sections of the Museum there is a live broadcast data from seismometers located throughout Japan, and these data clearly show that the land of the Rising sun almost continuously "shakes".
