The building, which is an architectural monument of the old Tsaritsyn, was built in (1897 - 1903) and belonged to a family of merchants Repnikova. The mansion was used for the reception of distinguished guests (bishops, governors, etc.) coming to the city. After the revolution moved into the building the headquarters of the defense of Tsaritsyn Council, later reorganized in Tsaritsyno provincial military Commissariat. In January 1937, in a beautiful building enters the Museum, which is there still. The uniqueness of the mansion consists of two facades, which is considered a rarity in the architecture of the time. House with massive vaulted ceilings basement perfectly preserved after two experienced warrior (the civil and the great Patriotic war).
