Church of the intercession, located near the Kremlin, was once the Cathedral of the assumption abolished Varvara monastery. Single-domed Church, built in 1695 by order of the mother of Peter the great - tsarina Natalia Kirillovna, distinguished by clarity of form and modest decor. The Church has repeatedly rebuilt. Latest addition – stone domed bell tower. Actually the Church has preserved the original decor in the spirit of Moscow Baroque, window frame trims with broken tops. In the interior of the Church has icons of the XVIII century wooden sculpture of St. Nicholas.
