The national Park of Ifrane is located in the heart of the middle Atlas mountains, 60 km from the Imperial city of FEZ, at an altitude of about 1650 m. the national Park with a total area of 500 sq km was established in 2004, the Main purpose of it is promotion and protection of endangered species of flora and fauna.

The natural wealth of this land has turned them into a real tourist Paradise. Due to the large number of lakes and rivers Park Ifrane is considered the main reservoir of water in the country. The noble soil of the Park is surrounded by a lovely Mediterranean forests of oak and pine groves. In Ifrane national Park there are over 1000 species of plants and trees, including 250 endemic species. Special representative of the fauna is Berber macaque. In this place is possible to observe closely these fun, cute and friendly animals, which have become almost tame.

Due to the fact that the Park does not lack in water, it has become a refuge for a large number of birds, of which there are over 200 species. Also in the Park is home to about 30 species of reptiles.

Real decoration of the Ifrane national Park is the largest in the country, the cedar forest, which is great for making all sorts of Hiking, trekking and picnics. Picturesque Alpine meadows and magnificent lake Avenuer, hidden in the pine forest, will not leave indifferent any tourist.

Through a long walk in the Park you can get acquainted with the life and lifestyle of the Berbers, to meet with local residents and even to be invited to visit them.

In winter, a huge number of ski enthusiasts are attracted by the snow-covered slopes of mount Hebri and great trails well-known ski resorts of Michlifen.
