In the beautiful city of Aarhus has many museums, among them very popular is the Museum of prehistoric Denmark. This is one of the major museums of ancient history of the East Jutland. The Museum has exhibits of stone age, bronze and iron. Specialists-archaeologists, ethnographers, anthropologists Aarhus University take an active part in the work of the Museum.
The main historical attraction of the Museum from 1952 became the mummy "man of Grauballe" who died approximately 2300 years ago at 34 years of age. Today the Museum is closed for visitors (the Museum moved to new premises). The new facility will open in 2014.
