In the Central part of Yuryevets is the remarkable Church of the Nativity, which is its façade facing the main street. The erection of the Church was held in 1815, but in the middle of the 19th century, it was greatly expanded, in particular, the refectory room, by adding the side of the North aisle, are equipped with a vestibule near the North-Western corner of the refectory. The upper tiers of the bell tower has not survived to our time. The Church of the Nativity is an original and unusual commemorative monument of religious architecture of the first quarter of the 19th century, in which eye-catching Baroque structure particularly well combined with the decoration in the style of late classicism.
For the Church characterized by high bunk bushel, while in the top tier are cut corners that traditionally reflects the bulk composition, which is represented as an octagon quadrangle. Wedding main volume made Baroque octagonal dome with a light bunk drum and lucarnes. You may notice that pretty much speaks narrowed the apse, are equipped with straight sidewalls, as well as several rounded the East side of the curved roof. Available side apses semicircles are on all sides of the quadrangle, including even the Western corners of the quadrangle. Refectory room has a gable roof, exhibiting the small size domes.
The lower level has rectangular openings. As for the shape of the arched window openings of the second light, they have the imposts, architraves and keystones – all this is repeated in the admission of false window openings on cut corners, forming a kind of continuous arcade, which gives the temple is notable for its expressiveness. Especially close in proportions arched openings which are placed at the edges of the bottom of the drum. The decoration is augmented with spaced pilasters at the corners and laid octagonal panels, pediments and wide eaves. Available on the lower tier of the belfry of the facades is made of three movements. Smooth frieze applied at the end, which perfectly combines equipped with virtual terminals using the ledge.
In the interiors of the temple one can see the overlap vosniadou vault, equipped with a light ring, the transition directly to the quadrangle made by the two-stage Tromp, and in the apse a semicircular arch, with strippings over window openings. In the aisles and the refectory room vaults made torispherical, in the refectory, they are transversely oriented, and the bell – cross. From the porch, the bell tower is accessed through a small staircase.
On the bulk of the available oil painting, which was completed in the third quarter of the 19th century, and the refectory room was painted in the late 19th century. The most striking example in the spirit of leaving academia are somewhat elongated shapes and proportions, and is expressed in the countenances of the plaque, expressed in iconographic conventions. The applied flavor is built on a bright but quite cold, even slightly dark colors. Another important feature of the painting has led to numerous images which are drawn the saints, is clearly dominant over the other plot scenes. On the vault there is the painting "the Transfiguration", "Resurrection" and "Ascension" and "the Crucifixion", and placed diagonally faces depicted the evangelists. The Central part of the arch, around the light ring, a lush decor, presents a grisaille outlet, which is styled in the Baroque style. At the very base of the arch stretches the picturesque eaves.
As for the paintings on the side walls, it is presented in two tiers, and the West wall has three. In the narrow spaces between the upper window openings, painted the Church fathers, and selected saints. From the Western wall these scenes are complemented by drawings of temple attributes. Below runs a frieze made up of gospel songs. On the altar are placed the gospel scenes, and from the West – "the last supper".
