Another beautiful building that was built during the Mughal – tomb of Itimad-UD-Daula, located in the ancient Indian city of Agra, state of Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the river Yamuna (Yamuna). She is known as the "jewel box", and is considered a kind of "rehearsal" before the construction of the famous Taj Mahal, so it is sometimes called the "little Taj" or "Baby Taj".

The construction of the tomb was carried out between 1622 and 1628 year, on the orders of Nur Jahan, wife of the famous Emperor Jahangir. The tomb was intended for her father Mirza Ghiyas racing, which was once the ruler of Persia, but was forced into exile. During his reign, he earned the nickname Itimad-UD-Daula, which means "pillar of the state", which gave the name to his tomb. He was also the grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal, which Shah Jahan and built the dazzling Taj Mahal. The tomb is located in the garden, which is accessed through a magnificent gate made of red Sandstone, and which on the cleverness of finishing almost not inferior to the main building.

The tomb is an example of the transitional period in architecture: from the first "phase", when the basic material for construction was red Sandstone, and for the decoration used white marble, to the second "phase", when the wizard is basically used white marble, and the decoration was dominated by a Florentine mosaic is a special technique of "Pietra Dura", the beauty of which is fully disclosed in the Taj Mahal.
