National Museum al ain is considered the oldest Museum in the UAE. It is located on the edge of the city of al ain and is part of a historical building erected in 1910 fortress Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan.

Museum al ain tells its visitors about the most interesting artifacts that were found on the territory of the city of al ain and across the country. The Museum exhibition devoted to different aspects of life of the residents of the United Emirates. Here you can learn about the culture and traditions of the country, to see different ancient tools of life and work, placed in strict chronological order.

The Museum consists of three main departments: archaeological, ethnographic and branches of decorative art. In the archaeological Department visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the periods of the country, starting from the stone age to the Islamic period. The ethnographic Department is dedicated to the traditions and culture of the country.

In the Department of decorative art presents an extraordinary collection of gifts that were received by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan during his lifetime. Here are kept the silver daggers, Golden swords and Golden palm tree. Every Museum exhibits have captions in Arabic and English.

Another part of the National Museum of al ain is East Fort, built in 1910, the Fort consists of three towers and four rooms. In one of the towers is the perfect viewing platform.

In addition, in the Museum of al ain, you can see different musical instruments, ancient weapons, a wonderful collection of ancient coins and gold bracelets, exhibits from the Big tombs Healy, to get acquainted with the ancient technology of agriculture, the stages of discovery and production of oil, learn about the traditions of falconry and much more.
