Balata is a floodplain forest, which is the most among Northern European forests lennogo type. Its called a natural pearl.

Balata is a rich scientific basis for biological research. There is a reserve near the village of Kranevo on the banks of the river Batova. The town of Balchik, about 11 kilometers away. There are unique kinds of climbing plants, like sarsaparilla, vine forest and the silk vine Greek. Among herbaceous plants dominate Althaea officinalis, Potentilla shrub, wild hyacinth, and others.

The Park Baltata is supported by the diversity of the fauna, it is home to mammals (about 36 species), amphibians (15 species) and birds. The birds here are more than 180 species, among them grey crane, Mallard, red herons and other. Nests in the Park to view more than 90 species of birds.
