The monument to Nicholas the Wonderworker in Anadyr is the world's largest statue of this Saint. The monument to the patron Saint of all travelers and floating in the capital of Chukotka, was erected on a high cliff above the picturesque Anadyr estuary in August 2004.

The solemn opening of the monument took place under the leadership of the Metropolitan of Volgograd and kamyshenskom Herman, Bishop of Anadyr and Chukotka Diomede. Day 11 August in Chukotka was declared a public holiday. In Anadyr, the largest in the history of the Russian Far East Orthodox celebrations. This day began with the Liturgy and prayer, and after the centre has passed religious procession.

The monument was designed by honored artist of Russia Sergey Isakov. The total height of the monument is more than 25 m from which on the surface is only 10 m, since a large part of the pedestal gets in the permafrost.
