Here there is a sanctuary of Artemis, founded, according to tradition, Orascom and Iphigenia, the children of Agamemnon. The blossoming of Vravrona reached in the sixth century BC, when the worship of the goddess Artemis was raised to the rank of a state religion.

The most important place in the sanctuary was occupied by the temple of Artemis V century BC, which preserved only the Foundation. Near the temple is the Byzantine chapel of St. George the XIII century. On the stone terrace – shallow grotto, where was the tomb of Iphigenia. At the base of the terrace is a courtyard, surrounded on three sides by Doric columns. Also preserved stone bridge V century BC

The Museum displays objects found during the excavation of Brauron: miniature vases, jewelry, figurines girls, performing a ritual dance, the bas-reliefs with images of gods.
