Logovardi is the largest monastery and one of the most revered shrines of the Greek island of Paros, which is visited annually by thousands of believers from all over the world. It lies approximately 5 kilometres North-East of the capital of the island – town of Parikia.

The monastery was founded in 1638 by the monk Paleologos from Naoussa and dedicated to the virgin Zoodochos Pigi. Impressive white monastery built in the traditional Cycladic style and resembles a well-fortified fortress. The main Catholicon of the monastery is famous for its magnificent wall paintings and beautiful ancient icons. In the monastery of Logovardi also has an excellent library with an excellent collection of unique manuscripts and impressive collection of books, among which are many very rare and valuable copies.

In 1930 the monastery became a spiritual son of Saint Nectarios of Aegina - the elder Filofei Services, is widely known for its high spirituality and good deeds during his lifetime. It was he who ensured that many children from low-income families of Paros was able to get a decent education. During the Second world war, the monks of the monastery of Logovardi, led by his mentor gave all kinds of support to the members of the national resistance and their allies. Thanks to father Falafel were also released 125 prisoners sentenced to death.
