Ethnographic Museum in Balchik is situated in the vicinity of the city's Historical Museum. The exhibit is housed in a beautifully restored two-storey building in the Renaissance style, built in 60-ies of the 19th century. The Museum Fund has more than 1500 items, reflecting the peculiarities of the life and culture of local inhabitants of the region: tools, furniture, articles of iron and copper, etc. the Exhibition is dedicated to various household activities (woodcarving, blacksmithing, pottery), you can also see samples of traditional folk clothing, jewelry, decorated with embroideries fabrics, etc.

On the ground floor there is an exhibition of crafts and trades. Visitors to the Museum can see the exhibition of tools for working wood (drills, planers, etc.), and all that was necessary in the forge in XVIIIвеке (bellows, tongs, anvil, hammers). Metal boilers, copper pots, pans, trays, manufacture of which involved the Smiths, also submitted as exhibits.

In addition, the Museum renovated home sewing workshop. Of the exhibits in this building – the tools of a tailor: scissors, rulers, thimbles, irons, lace for garment decoration. The manufacture of leather goods is not complete without special scrapers to clean the skin, to stretching and drying, and other things.

On the second floor of the complex, visitors are astonished by the abundance of colors and patterns adorning the festive national dress. Weaving is one of the oldest classes in Bulgaria. The exhibition presents the equipment used by Housewives: spinning wheels, horizontal loom, and more. In the Windows are placed headdresses, pendants, pins, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, belts with metal buckles, etc.

At the entrance to the Museum is a small well-kept garden, in harmony with the architectural appearance of the building.
