The film Museum in Berlin first opened in 1963, and its Creator is considered one of the well-known German Directors – Gerhard Lamprecht. The purpose of the Museum, which was regarded as not only film, but also television, was to attract the attention of tourists to modern technologies, allowing to make movies. However, oddly enough, the Museum was in the unenviable position unless it is "resettled" in one of the most famous centers of the German capital – SonyCenter. Potsdamer Platz has changed, it has grown a complex of metal and glass with many entertainment venues and shops, its own infrastructure.
With the beginning of a new life Museum, made in a modern style, has become one of the most visited, and in 2006 he was awarded the status of a National film archive. Today, in his annals are averaging slightly less than thirteen thousand films, unique not only for German cinema, but also to the world. One of the interesting exhibits worth noting one of the most extensive collections in the world of tickets to screenings for different years. Also there are banners, posters, billboards – promotional products, which can even examine advertising in Germany.
The Museum itself consists of 13 rooms, which gradually reveals the history of cinema, in Germany having a very bright development. We should also mention the collection of equipment: cameras, which were filming the first movie, coexist with modern digital, and in addition, everyone can try yourself in the role of operator. One of the iconic German configur – Marlene Dietrich honored individual exhibition, which shows all the sections of her work: and pre-and post-war.
The architects and designers of the new Museum building pleases the visitors with an amazing combination of modern materials, light, mirrors and special effects.
