Belovezhskaya Pushcha is a section of an ancient relic lowland places, guarded for over 600 years. First protection order prohibiting hunting within Belovezhskaya Pushcha was issued by the Polish king Jagiello in 1409.

The national Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" is the main attraction and pride of the Belarusian people. In 1992, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha was included in the UNESCO list of world heritage of humanity.

The oldest forest reserve, have an average age of 81 years, and some trees reach 600 years, breaking all the world records for the diversity of flora and fauna. Here grows 958 species of plants, found 59 species of mammals, 227 species of birds and 24 species of fish. It is home to the forest giants bison, Royal deer, wolves, foxes, beavers, Martens, lynxes, wild boars and other animals, which, unfortunately, is rarely seen in the wild.

In a specially designed enclosure for the bison you can admire the huge relic giants, which is not hunted, and so they let a man close. Once the bison were almost extinct, but they have created such wonderful conditions in Belovezhskaya Pushcha that a rapidly growing population of these forest giants creates a lot of problems.

Belovezhskaya Pushcha is the Nature Museum. Here you can see rare exhibits, compiled in the song so that is immersive in a wild primeval forest. The impression of increase the chirping of birds, the noise of the wind and the sounds of animals coming from loudspeakers. The Museum also has a stuffed forever extinct or endangered animals and birds. Shows what was once Belovezhskaya Pushcha, when people still hunted with spears, bows and arrows. Belovezhskaya Pushcha is the historic site of the signing of the Belovezhskaya agreements; this event occurred in the governmental residence Viskuli in 1991 and marked the end of the vast Empire of the USSR.
