The Museum "Saved artistic value" - a branch of the Brest regional Museum. Opened on 4 February 1989 in the mansion, which, ironically, is himself saved artistic value. This monument was built in 1925-27, by architect J. Lisenkova and miraculously survived among the modern urban building.
The Museum has artistic value, confiscated on the border of the Brest customs officers. Alas, the richest collection of the Museum, and it is regularly updated with new goods. The unusual theme of the collection and its variety of daily attracts many residents of Brest and tourists with great interest to examine how the values themselves and the ways they tried to smuggle through customs.

The Museum exposition is presented in 10 halls. In the first room you can see the unique materials on the activities of the customs to prevent the export of cultural and artistic values abroad. Three rooms occupy the confiscated icons, one third of them – the icons in silver frames. The most ancient icons in the Museum date back to the XVI century. Among them, the "Christ in Majesty", "virgin of Vladimir", "the Annunciation".
The remaining rooms contain antique furniture, jewelry, decorative arts from all countries of the world. There is also a famous jewelry Faberge, and figurines of the Buddha, and the masterpieces of world art.
During the existence of the Museum, it became fashionable cultural center of the city. It hosts literary evenings, concerts, interesting exhibitions and other events.
